Visited RIAT on Saturday only after wisely paying the extra for having the option of either day, and loved every minute of it. Here's a few of my favourites from those that I have processed so far:

Very effective shots. I was also there on saturday. Didn't get such close shots. It helps to be able to know what lens and body these were done with. Possibly 7D plus something long, or 1D plus something very long and heavy???

What was it?

Hi,
The shots were taken with a combination of a 20d and 450d with the 100 -400L zoom, so nothing too exotic. I was situated in the bear pit that was between the public grandstand and the Friat stand, stood well back from the crowdline. Unfortunately this meant that I was unable to get any take off or landing shots, but once in the air it was a great position.

Can I ask what kind of processing you are doing? I did an airshow this weekend too and have a million shots to go through an was curious what all you were doing. I did all mine with a 40d and 100-400 but they just dont seem as crisp as yours. Not sure how much of that is me and how much is processing.

Hi,

I'm using lightroom 2, and just cropping a bit, boosting contrast via the curves panel and sometimes using the clarity slider with a final sharpening, before exporting to flikr. I'm afraid I'm not very expert at it and only know a little about the bare basics.

OK. I'm going to experiment and re-process mine . I was using 1DMKIII + 300mm + TC. The difference is that I haven't done any cropping. My images are sharp. I was in the press area. (don't ask why!).
