I loved my D10 - bought it because we live in the Bahamas, and own a boat. I figured I couldn't go wrong for quick trips without worrying I'd drop the 5D Mk II into the sea.
I agonize over research, and do huge amounts before deciding on a camera. And I did that for the D10.
The photos were great - as you've seen in the samples fellow posters have provided.
And I got the Lens Error within three months. I can't do that, I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't have a camera store here (we don't have a grocery store here!) so I had to let it go, and replaced it with something non-waterproof, and that I worry about.
Still wondering if I should have tried another D10... but I'd just had my 40D get error messages (hence the 5D Mk II) and I didn't want more problems in another camera.
If Canon has fixed that Lens Error issue - I'd say go for it!
