Hey everyone...there have been a few Dayton Air Show threads over the past few days so I thought I'd make my contribution.
First off...I am a VERY amateur photographer and just trying to figure out what I'm doing. Secondly, I suck at Photoshop so these are pretty much right out of the camera except for a few small adjustments.
These are all with a 40D that I've had for a few years and with a 100-400L that I just got the day before the show. I've never really tried to capture a moving target let alone an airplane going 700+ mph so needless to say that day was quite a learning experience for me. I read all of the tips and tricks here on the forum but nothing really turned out quite as well as I was hoping but I guess I have to start somewhere.
