Just a few shots taken off the back porch of our cabin in the Smokies. I wish we had the waxwings around home, they are very pretty birds!!

Thanks for the comments everyone, I'm glad you liked them. I guess I should correct myself, it's not "our" cabin, we rented it, but it was ours for a week lol. We will actually probably stay in that cabin each year, it was beautiful!!! Would love to have our own though! I have some great bear and scenic shots I still need to edit, hopefully get those posted soon too.
Thanks again!

If home is Pennsylvania, then you do have Waxwings there. You need to scope out the trees as you drive around. Look for Crab Apples and wild Cherries and any tree or bush that has berries on it. The thing is though, Waxwings will work over a tree until all the berries are gone, then move on, not coming back till next year. Waxwings normally travel in large flocks, so they can strip a tree or bushes in a few days at most. You have to watch for their work.

In fall, after frost, Winterberries and Crab Apples are going soft from freezing. That's when they like them. :)
