New to skate photos, I usually shoot paintball. Just looking for critiques.

Not bad for a first try, always try to shoot a bid wider and show more of the environment.

In stuff like BMX/Skateboard if you can show the rider, the ramp and the ground it exaggerates the height, etc, and makes it looks more impressive.

Seem's like you have lighting down, like where they are going. But like Chris said, I feel these are all a little too tightly framed on the skater for my liking; it's always good to incorporate as much of the obstacle in as you can. Not sure how deeper you plan on going in skating photos, but the people on Skateperception.com can really help out there in critique. But all of these have much potential behind them, keep it up.

composition is way too tight, and the crops are pretty lame

Don't worry about it, just shoot. You're your best judge and I'll bet you'll over judge what you shoot.

composition and framing are two huge things you should worry about when shooting.

3 is ur best IMO the board didnt stay underhim 100% but thats beyond ur control.. in sense of timing its the best tho.. take a look at transworldskateboarding mag if u get a chance for some examples of when u wanna shoot.. and the comp. they use.
