Now that's the very definition of forlorn!

Another IR shot from me, no hot spots with this lens and an IR filter:

This is one of my most recent photographs using the EF 28-105mm lens. I brought it used right before the summer and I'm loving the sharpness. Great for traveling and doing portraits. Can't go wrong with this set!!

Ouch thats a lot of noise at ISO 800, I thought the 30D and 40D bodies you have are supposed to be pretty good at handling noise at high ISO?

It was after the sun had set...
The "correct" exposure should have been 1/8 sec @ ISO 800 or 1/30 @ ISO 3200....
...this lens doesn't have IS so I underexposed it (1/30 is as slow as I dare go and still be "steady") and increased the exposure in DPP...hence the noise....I could use NR but....it is what it is...

I don't use it anymore, but it was my first lens. I did get some nice shots with it. Here's one with my Elan 7 and Velvia 50:

Ha ! I just picked up one of these lenses that will be used for my "loan out " camera, which is an old D30 ( dinosaur 30 ). Got the lens for $170. Here's a couple of shots taken with it on my 1DMk2
