Just ordered... because its the only new lens I can afford right now!

Let's see how this thing treats me... Ill be using it on a cropped body, so it will be somewhere in the range of 80mm right? I can't wait...

Also, I plan on purchasing a T2i in the future - how is this for videos?

Just get here! I just took the package that Amazon offered me. Im gonna need a UV filter, not for UV, but to keep tire chunks out of the lense... Hood was basically free...

you'd probably be better off using that UV filter as a beer coaster instead of putting it in front of your lens...tiffen's are a pretty bad brand...no point in buying a nice lens, and then getting subpar results because of a $10 that isn't going to protect it from anything

And you really dont need a Lens hood for this lens because the glass lens front itself is pretty deep into the housing to the point were it already shades enough light.

The UV filter is there to protect it because I put my 18-55 through hell. When you go to drift events and your friends want behind the car burnout pictures and tire chunks and rocks fly at you, your gonna be thankful for a cheap filter that you have no problem replacing when something does hit it. Because they crack. Then, instead of worrying about cleaning it off there, I swap filters again. Keeps it clean. I just decided to add another one to my collection. The hood I got nothing for, it was just a package on amazon haha

But ill keep in mind to not use it for serious pics...

Not too shabby for Canon cheapest lens and camera.
