Ive been contemplating the switch from my 40D to a 5Dc as I am primarily a landscape shooter. I was all set to go until I thought about hunting season - I absolutely love to grab shots of pheasants on the prairie and grouse in the woods. This type of photography makes up about 2% of the shots I take, but I would really miss it if I could no longer do it. A lot.
As a result, Ive been thinking about the 7D instead. I know most people like this camera for sports and wildlife and any time you mention landscapes, everyone points you to a FF.
So, as a result of this thinking, I have some questions:
-From a landscape shooters perspective, is the 7D even an upgrade over my 40D? I shoot at ISO 100 on a tripod so many of the new features are wasted on me except for when Im shooting gamebirds on the wing during the 3.5 months of bird hunting season. The new LCD would be nice for Live View focusing I guess...
-The 7D must still be a capable camera for landscape, right?
-Care to post your landscapes taken with this cam?
