Hey guys! I'm building my studio right now and I want the budget about $2000. I have heard a great things about Profoto 600R, should I buy it or you have another solution? Thanks.

More detail needed.

What will you be shooting? Is that budget only for lights? Modifiers? Stands, etc?

Are you talking about just lighting equipment? Or converting an existing space (garage?) into a nice place for clients? or BUILDING a structure?

I'm watching the Zach Arias videos from CreativeLive.com right now and he spent a good bit of time on the first day on this subject. His recomendation is an AB1600 and 2x AB800s which comes in just under $1000. I can't argue with that recomendation, especially since you're going to need the rest of the money (and then some) for stands and modifiers.

Whats with people not providing information in regards to their questions. So frustrating!!

You want help with gear or actually building a studio?

He said he's got $2400 for lighting and stands and he seems to want help spending his money.

Two AB800's cost plenty under $1,000. The digibee package on Alien Bee's website with two AB800's comes out to about $730 with stands and umbrellas. You could even pick up a third AB800 and be around $1000.

You misread. Two AB800s and one AB1600 was the recommendation.
