Well, maybe we should try to do a 4 day "meet half way" trip together. Chicago? Denver? My sister has a vacation home in Florida..... I've never been. :)

If y'all meet in Chicago and wouldn't mind an extra person, it's not that bad of a drive for me.

That might be enough incentive for me to go to Chi town :)

Fun shots, Mo. Those youngsters are blessed to have you and Skip as their Grandparents!

We had a wonderful day at work yesterday...got $1M in new work awarded! I treated the staff to beer & pizza for lunch :) Best of all these new contracts are for five years! In my world this is a "good thing" as I now know how I can keep at least half of my folks in a job for a long, long time.

Jim, you are the rain-maker there, and they know you do it for them. Save some of that bonus money you'll be getting for me. :) Well, at least for lunch. ;) Glad it's working out. As I'm finishing up my trip in SF, I am having a good time with my sister, Shirley and her family. She raised me until she moved out when I was around 9. She got married and our house was never clean again. She was the sister that kept things neat. But we went out for Chinese buffet last night, all 13 of us and it was great fun. Today we head out to the sites but no one is ready but Ken & me. I did get shots of the giant redwoods outside of Santa Cruz where we stayed. Great pizza place there called Woodstock? Loved the crust.

I have a neighbor who has a house close to Mt. Rushmore, that she rents out. There's horseback riding and kayaks about 10 minutes away and all sorts of trails. If anyone is interested in that, we can gather there. Rent is whatever we want to pay her and we need to bring our own stuff to eat.

Howdy all - hope everyone had a great day.

I just got an inquiry from an online friend to shoot his wedding - in Houston. We'll see if he goes for the price I quoted. It'd be fun, that's for sure.

Also posted some of the recent e-session I did a few weeks ago:

Beautiful, Chris!

Lots of joy and love in your photos. You have captured their emotion perfectly. I really like the 2nd and 3rd photos :)

Thanks, Jim! This couple was really easy to work with, so it made my life so freaking easy.

Hi. Chris, I'll look at your work this weekend, because my internet keeps cutting off at my sisters.

How is everyone? Heading home tomorrow. I am loving CA. The temps here are too good, in the 60s all week. Back to my 90+ Virginia, but I'm missing my bed. So, I'll just say, I'd love to live in CA part of the time. :) Have a great weekend everyone!

Here is a "fisheye" view from Jimmy & Nicole's Wedding. Lens is the Canon f/2.8 15MM Fisheye. Cost is $676.00. I just ordered this through AMEX Rewards for $201.00! I will have it in time for the wedding I am shooting in Ashburn, VA on Saturday :)
