It's about freakin' time and should have plenty of test by the time I get my bonus! I cannot wait for this! Now for the 17-50 OS

I'll pay $1200 at the most for it. That's ridiculous and even then I'd consider Canon's MkI. Decisions decisions.

I'm depressed...$1700!? Really? Why would I get this over the Canon MkI? Once B&H listed it I believe it and I'm sicken. Sigma now knows they are awesome and has priced their stuff accordingly.

Has there been any user reviews on the 17-50mm ? I'd really like to know what users think of the Af under different shooting conditions .

Lets see the reviews!

This is really starting to annoy me! the 70-200 OS has been available for a week, and so far (as far as I can tell) nobody anywhere has come forward and indicated that they have actually bought or used one -- or given an opinion or first impression on the lens.

When the Canon MK2 came out, people ordered them, next day shipping, the day they were available and posed pics and first impressions the following day. Apparently the Sigma crowd is much more of a "wait-and-see" audience.. no one wants to be first! (myself included)

Because it's better zhan Canon MkI, what I heard form Japan it's on par with new Canon and Nikkor.

Price in USA is relly high ecpecially ig you know that price in Europe is same but with cca 20% tax included.

Remember, you have to give it 3-4 weeks before the first-adopters get theirs back from Sigma after recalibration!

I just don't care to pay that much. When Sigma ups their prices to Canon's previous then it's simply ridiculous and makes you think about what you want. OS is not worth $1000.
