We are off to my mom's this morning and will be gone until Friday...then a drive home to drop boys off and back down to Dwight McCann's for the annual POTN BBQ.

I won't be around much so Suzie & Jon...keep an eye out for me. We are taking the grandkids so my mom can meet Nicholas for the first time.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Beautiful shot, Jim. So jealous. The sunset was beautiful yesterday, but the clouds and trees made the view impossible for us as we drove to dinner. Greg's birthday dinner at Olive Garden. It was yummy.

Mo, I wish I could do that BBQ sometime. Always seems fun to me to see the pictures taken of it. Have fun at your Mom's with Nicholas. He's such a doll. And Jon usually takes care of the stuff here more than I do. If I get on a little more this week, I'll be happy.

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Good Morning, All...back in Alexandria, VA at my office. I am on a diet for the rest of the week...Roanoke has too many great restaurants :( I had an awesome steak dinner last night topped of with key lime ice cream for desert :)

My 15MM f/2.8 EF Fisheye came today :) I was about 4 inches from the car (my Highlander) and the table at our dinner was 30" deep :) This lens is awesome! Going to have fun at the wedding Saturday :)

Beef Stroganoff for me and Japanese Noodles w/chicken for Elaine. We shared the salad. This was at Noodles & Company :)

That makes two of us but at least it is sort of lunch time where you are. It's a mere 935 here LOL.

Went to Red Lobster. I got a coupon in the mail, $10 off no matter how much I spend over $10. So, I paid $8 for lunch. :)

Life is going okay. Tomorrow a guy is coming to check my AC, which the regular technician says needs to be completely replaced.

playing with the new toy tonight - my wife and I got our Droids in the mail today. Fun little things.

Made a vat of Memphis style bbq sauce and will be making another sauce of (eastern) carolina-style sauce. I have 17 pounds of pork shoulder in the fridge waiting to go on the smoker tomorrow afternoon. All of this for my daughter's second b-day party on Saturday.

And you didn't invite me, Chris! Shame. :) Sounds yummy. Take a few shots of her. She should be adorable with all that barbecue sauce. :)

I have a Droid, but not the X - new version. I'm not in love with mine. The touchscreen is really sensitive, but the 8 gb memory card that is added is useful. I keep some of my music handy in case I forget my ipods. I'm considering giving the Droid to my college son and have the 5 family phones on it and getting an iPhone for myself with AT&T. But I don't have the money to do that. It's sad that Verizon doesn't support it.

Sounds like we're all keeping busy. My senior workload has taken off in the last two weeks. I have 5 scheduled within the next two weeks. It's more than the mere 2 I did last year so getting my foot in the door for the senior market is a nice step for me. I also have a family shoot scheduled for later this month - the dad (a friend and coworker of mine) is deploying at the end of this month.

Good luck with the wedding, Jim! I'm missing the action this time. I'm tired just thinking about it.
