Think you have to enable ISO expansion (it expands it on the high and low sides)

EdBray wrote in post #10732904 (external link)
Enable ISO extension in the custom functions, then select ISO L.

thanks guys!:D

If you're not looking for full-body shots, then it'll work fine. It'll work even better if you are using an external flash as sometimes, receptions can be rather dark and even f/1.2 can't stop motion blur.

If you're a paid photographer, then you'll likely need to switch out to a wide angle for full-body and environmental shots. Or more ideally, get a 2nd body for the wide and mate the 85L on the other camera and you should be set.

Thanks for reply :) i'll be using 580ex ii as well and most likely for half body. As I don't have 2nd body so will be switching to 35L.

I guess I'll need to work harder for 2nd body :D

It's great for candids, especially without flash. I probably have a bunch somewhere but am too lazy to look right now. :) You might find something on my wedding pages (hard to say 'cuz those usually are just for the family).

EDIT: Found one (using bounce flash). :) There's actually a few from this wedding.

If you are the primary photographer you will no doubt hear a million times over here: "don't do a wedding without a backup body". :)

Thanks :) indeed I am.

In regards to your gear list. Do you have a picture of all of it assembled into one place? Seems like all of that would take up a lot of space :x
