I'm wondering if I should trade in the 70-200 f4 IS, 17-40L and 100mm Macro for this lens? These sample photos are just that good.

Unless you don't want to shoot macro, and can get a reasonable good price for your 70-200mm, though I would suggest keeping a lens that is a wide angle lens

I've found that macro just isn't my thing, but if I do want to try it I can always use extension tubes or buy the 100L macro for the IS later on. I do have my 18-55, I just never pick up my 17-40 enough to justify keeping it around but when I do I always use the wide end.

The choices.

Think it would be wise for you to sell all three if you don't use the other two then

@ AP

I'm totally love first photo !!

Considering to buy this lens with 2x and 1.4x for my 7D also for wildlife photography , i'm even consider to NOT buy 300 F4 as with this zoom i'm lot more versatile and IQ form it with 2x its just quite stunning.

Thanks..!! It does need light though, but I guess so does anything at 5.6.. These 2 were last night just at sunset.. Higher ISO but still usable. I think..
