I like all of them....#1 was the most eye catching (maybe cuz it was the first one i seen lol)

What was the use of the ND filter for in these photos?

The only thing I hate is in #3 the blue tent with person

ND = Neutral Density filter? I thought ND filter was for landscape?

Excellent images, #1 is my fav.

ND filter most likely to get on or below your max sync speed (usually 1/200th or 1/250th). If you shoot at your lowest ISO, at f/4.5, full sunlight will already give you a faster shutterspeed than your flash can sync at. If you add an ND filter, your ambient will be 3 stops lower (flash also of course - but you can always add more flash power).


Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!

I've also shot using speedlights as fill and have blown out skies, a look I still like b/c it's clean. This is at F/4.5 without ND's:
