Great photos! Wife and I just took the 8 hour tour this past Saturday but did not get nearly as lucky as you did with the bears. Although we did see two young grizzly they were not nearly as cooperative :)

I wonder how many times you went back into review to look at that bear shot, before you could go to sleep that evening? That one is a real smile generator. Congrats, nice work.

No, they don't. And that doesn't look like a caribou. What's the deal?
ETA: I am also a bit suspect of the bald eagle shot. There are very, very few bald eagles in Denali, and fewer still along the road the bus takes. I've seen lots of goldens there, but never a bald.

Forgot to add the Elk wasn't on the tour but it was still inside the Denali park area. It was spotted from our RV on the far south side of the park (close to Talkeetna/Trapper Creek area) on are way to Anchorage. They don't live in the mountainous regions of the park.

Bald was from tour, it was perched up on a limb about 10ft from the bus in the flat lands between Eielson vistor center and wonder lake.

Our driver stated that a couple of bald eagles had been around the area for the last few weeks. He said he had been driving the park for 18 years and this was about the 4th time bald eagles have wondered that far into the park.

There were a ton of golden eagles in the area also, we had one flying along side the bus for about 1/2 a mile.

Top notch. Thanks for sharing these great wildlife shots. What equipment were you shooting with?
