My sister in law, shot with the 30d and 70-200 2.8 with some texture added

Hmmmm.... I like the composition. But something is bothering me. Maybe the texture? Her eyes look soft too.. Idk. I think it's the texture. Definitely a pretty model.

the eyes are very soft, always make sure the eyes are as sharp as can be.

I don't believe in rules, just shots I like looking at. There a bazillions of ways to have a photograph and razor sharp is not the only way it can be good.

i think the texture makes it interesting the more i look at it. skin is just a little bit bright for me, but overal nice shot! :D

im sorry but you should always try to get the eyes in focus when you shoot portraits....thats not a rule that should be broken.

eyes need to be sharp...otherwise why shoot with an L lens...I like the texture.

ok, why dont you tell me what it is that you find so artistic?...is it the texture??...to me is just a simple portrait which was spiked in PP. regardless we should always try our best to get those eyes sharp...that is the first thing the viewer is drawn to.
