Anyone know where to buy spare parts for the 7D? I looked on ebay and it looks like my only option is to buy a broken one and salvage it for parts. Anyone know of an online retailer that will sell EOS parts? TIA!

exactly what parts are you looking for? why not just send it to Canon for repair?

Nothing is wrong. I was looking mainly for the plastic pieces. I have a friend who does custom paint work with this kind of stuff. He did my laptop.....I know call me cheesy.

I haven't spent time taking good pics of it yet. Just have some basic pics.

so let me get this straight... you want to buy another enclosure for the 7D, have it modded/painted and move the internals to the painted camera?

if this was a white L lens you wanted to get powder coated matte black, i'll understand... body... dunno... lol... to each his own...

do post pics tho...

It's just an idea at this point. Without having spare parts just in case I wouldn't do anything.
