This was with the 24-105 F4L. In low light sports (from my very limited experience) I have learned to use high shutter speeds (1/400 - 1/1000) and higher ISO... The 7D gives more room for high ISO noise correction in post, so its easier to use the action stopping shutter speeds.

What ecub said.

I love the lighting, the simplicity and the black... all just fantastic.

One thing I will say about being a non-denominational Christian... we sure are... informal. It would be nice once in a while to have some opportunities to capture these kinds of moments and special times in something nicer than a pair of jeans and a Christmas sweater...

That's a pretty photo of that butterfly Andy, good work!

I can't resist taking pics of cute dogs when i see them, here's one that was sitting outdoors in the rain and i could not help feeling sorry for it. :)

Magnus,

Most excellent wet dog photos. Here's one of my initial test photos with my EOS- 7D and EF 100- 400 mm. L zoom, 550 EX flash and Better Beamer. It's a Yellow- headed amazon parakeet from the St Augustine Alligator Farm. I like the sharpness from this camera.

This female (I think) garden orb spider has been hanging out for a couple of days. I see she has already laid a sac which will hatch in the winter. I hope she eats all the f'in flies and wasps around my house!!

Excellent! Looks like a very successful HDR.
