CUTE picture of Jules, Jim :)
Aaron started 3rd grade today. Boo Hoo. My baby grandson is growing way too fast.

Can't believe the grandkids are getting big! My 2 sons start that time, too, and both in middle school this year. I'm so excited!

Thanks, Mo :-)

Yes our kids and grandkids are really growing up! Where does the time go? Tonight Joe is in his school's summer play. 24-105MM on the 5D will get a workout tonight :D

LOL, Chet. I don't think they'll have much luck.

I am getting paid for my next wedding.... she already put down a big deposit and ordered a wedding scrapbook for an extra $400. Kind of exciting.

Aaron will turn eight in 10 days. This was taken in early evening light....impromptu and I like the way it turned out.

Great portrait, Mo. Which lens did you use for this? I didn't realize that Aaron and Joe are only six months apart. Joe will be 8 in DEC :) He is "Mr. Cool" now and is teasing Jules to no end about her first day in "real" school.

Great portraits, both of you! I already got the "So, are you taking first day of school pictures of us?" question yesterday after Greg peeked over my shoulder and saw these. He's excited. I already found 2 body guards for him who are 7th graders. That way, he won't get beat up if he talks too much. :)

LOL, Suzie. Joe & Jules are ducking already :) They see me coming with a camera and they turn and run the other way. I have to use the 70-200MM and catch them from afar :)

Yes. That is what I do, too. Should have seen Sarah on vacation. She was so annoying. She ducked every shot until I kept pointing my camera at her and she'd give me that look. :)

I drove Greg to the barber on this week. His hair was driving me nuts! The better barbers were there so I forced him to get the short boys cut. He looks so much better. I think I'm done with cub scouts after the meeting next Thursday for Greg to get his Arrow of Light and bridging ceremony. I still have patched to sew on though. :( It's a labor of love because no Mom would do it otherwise. What a painful exercise.

Jim, I used the 135mm lens. I love that lens and still have not tried my 70-200 on my new-ish 5DII!!

LOL. You know it! We never saw the whole bridge. :)

Thanks, Jim. I'll take you up on it. Ken & I are heading to the Poplar Springs Inn, Manor house in about an hour. I got home from the Temple in record Friday rush hour time, 1 1/2 hours. Took HOV with so many in the van. Wonderful time with my church girls and then smoothies at McDonalds. Should be a wonderful evening.

Mo, I'm still working on the HI thing. :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Saturday was the beginning of the worst week of the year for me.....ELEVEN birthdays over an 8 day span. YUCK!!! Last night I was wrapping gifts and making homemade birthday cards until 3 a.m.

Woof, Mo. That does not sound like fun.

Had a wedding yesterday. I had a first happen - we were taking photos in the open area near the hotel when a rent-a-cop came up and told me I had to give him my images because they don't allow professional photography in that area (of course with nothing posted). If I hadn't been so flabbergasted by his request, I would have laughed in his face. I just told him we'd leave and he was fine with that.

Chris, that happens sometimes. People don't like you to record anything near their property for legal reasons, so you have to honor it.

Here is a picture from my dinner the other night:

IMAGE: http://sbphoto1.smugmug.com/Other/Bastian2010/IMG2583Anniversary-Dinner-8-20/980354691_Eu3p4-XL.jpg

Taken with my Canon 850. It's fuzzy and the waitress too it.
