Newbie from the UK

Hello All,
My name is Mark and I live in the UK. I've just bought a Canon 500D with an EF 18-55 lens. I am a novice at photography and am looking forward to learning how to take good photographs from all you folk.

I have 2 websites and I'm really hoping to improve the photographs on them, which are pretty dreadful. My old Olympus Stylus 300 wasn't up to much either.

Ah, well, in that case, you qualify for being a UK south easterner (just!) - there's a very active (& friendly) group of us here - just click on the link in my sig and come and say hello.

The group sounds great. My exact location is Shiplake, that's between Henley and Reading so I guess that makes me slightly more south easterner .
