Well, I'm glad I didn't go with my first plan then.... (take nothing but QBs through the first 6 rounds) :p

[Boy, that would have made for some interesting stuff, eh? We might have actually had trades happen this year]

Or we could just let you sit with what you had and wait for them to hit the waiver wire when you had no one else to start. Someone did take three defenses, not in the first rounds though.

It was fun drafting last night...even though my team sucks balls....

Can't believe I was late...and missed out on Manning. Anyone want to trade?

;)

Yep. But I usually try to get a top QB in the first round, it goes against what most of the fantasy experts advise. I got Aaron Rodgers when Drew Brees was drafted before I had the chance in the sixth spot. A couple of years ago when LT and Larry Johnson were the top backs and started poorly their owners had to be cursing a bit.

I might change my drafting philosophy for tomorrow night but I don't think I'll be going for all QBs in the first six rounds. ;)

A few years ago I took Peyton in the first round and people thought I was nuts. Don't remember exactly how that year went but I think it was good. I have always been a RB in the first round guy though. I think the difference between the top tier and second tier RBs is greater than the top tier and second tier QBs.

I also like QB to get 6 pts per TD.

I was aiming for Drew Brees also, but since he got taken, then I better get WR/RB first (I was 10th pick). How soon do you know when your pick position is?

BTW, it seems that I'm projected to lose against Mike on the first game....

BTW, it seems that NFL is using Yahoo's FFL engine this year. Last year they're using CBS... The look and feel seems more like Yahoo's

I think you know your draft spot when you enter the draft which is open about 30 minutes before the draft starts. I couldn't find anywhere else that showed it.

I wonder if it is their own. They have been working on changing the website to which was run by cbs in the past. They would give credit if someone else were doing the work. I think this is all nfl.com now.

You guys are making me feel like Brees was the right pick for my first !

But.....if it's like the last two years, my team will start like a bat outta hell, and then finish under .500 !

That's what I thought too... Thanks for checking... I'll pop in earlier tomm to check out my spot then come back in closer to 6 for the draft :)

It seems that even last 2 years I didn't really notice who has the FFL unless I really look for it. Both team management, fractional scoring feels too much like Yahoo. Anyway, as long as it's FFL with the right people, the site doesn't matter. The fractional points does make a big difference. I won by .2 or .3 points last year on Yahoo.

I was in a Fanball league last year ($75 entry) where a guy drafted QB's in the first 4 rounds. He had Brees, Rodgers, Warner and McNabb. Kinda threw off everyone's draft, but he didn't make it far. I ended up with Flacco for the season. He did OK, I got second in that league.

All right, all right...I'll agree with the 6 pt for passing TD. I guess Matt Schaub and Kevin Kolb are good enough for me. But seriously though, I was picking 8th and I would have picked Brees or Rodgers in the first round if I had remembered that it was 6 pt last year. Heck, I don't remember if they were available at 8th for me two days ago...Being old and senile sucks...:)

Schaub lead the number 1 passing attack last year. I think you'll be alright! ;)

BTW, Brees went 4th and Rodgers went 5th!

Yeah, Shaub is no slouch. In addition to that Houston's running game looked almost non- existent against the Saints the other night. It's preseason but they look like they have a long way to go. Brees had only a rushing TD and led another drive with Bush getting the honors. A kid from Missouri named Chase Daniels had the passing TDs for the Saints. He looked like a younger Brees all night, the kid shows promise that I hope not to see tested in the regular season.

A note to those drafting tonight, do your homework. I chose Vincent Jackson from the Chargers only to find out later he has a three to six week suspension to serve and may not even be with SD this year although he may be somewhere else.

I backed into looking brilliant with a couple of picks I made so I guess I'm even. I won't say how that's so but I suggest looking at the injury reports.

In a little over 24 hours I will be at Lambeau field watching my Colts smash the Pack.....

Wonder if they will allow me to do a Lambeau leep after the game?????

I am so excited. This is on my bucket list....
