I rather want to see canon improves on their weather sealing, faster FPS and durabilities.

alan

weather sealing/durability??? from what i've seen the 1d series is pretty much weatherproof. so you would rather have them improve on what is already really good than DR, low iso, etc.?

Is Canon purposely making me want to make the move to medium format digi? I don't really care how fast it is, nor if i can shoot it in the rain (that's what plastic bags are for). Right now I'm shooting a 5D II and i feel like i will never buy another Canon.

I was looking at a Phase One/Leaf system the other day. The 1/1600ths of a second x-sync would be terribly convenient for me when using leaf-shutter lenses.

Alas, window shopping with money I can't justify parting with.

I agree. MF is not practical in terms of portability. I'd rather have a 5D or a 1D. Anyways, I'm just about ready to spend 8k. :)

I just read that. I guess DIGIC IV is coming to the 1Ds IV. Not a big deal. :)

Do you think the 1Ds IV will have a direct print button on the portrait portion of the body grip? That'd be really handy.

I assume he was being sarcastic. He usually puts an emoticon in the end. :)

I'd like to see an uglyometer on the 1Ds4

It highlights the bad bits so you can under or over expose them so they don't show.

Some would just get a white piece of paper.

Quickly scanning the 60D specs does not fill me with great hope for the 1Ds, just the same old stuff and still no mention of improved low iso performance or mirror lock up.

Traditionally Canon tested new technology on us amateurs before chancing putting it on the pro models. Seems they have run out of ideas.
