Haven't posted for a while, but was wondering, is the T1i capable of triggering an off camera flash optically? I ordered a YongNuo YN-468 and was wondering if I'd be able to trigger it with the popup flash.

If not, I suppose I can order the YongNuo RF-602.

Why trigger it with camera flash. The Cam flash will still come into play and that really sux. Trigger it with a wireless trigger. Gives much better effect. Specially with diffuers.

Well, im new here. i just ordered my T1i the other day as a graduation present to myself. im a first time DSLR owner but not user. im pretty familiar with my granddads nikon d3000. but it was time to get my own. im really big into automotive, portrait, and landscape photography. anyways, i look foward to learning and posting on this site!

This forum really is a great resource. But, beware . . . your desire to buy new gear is directly proportional to how often you visit. If you're aren't careful, you'll be considering the defensibility and merits of lenses that cost twice what your new T1i cost.

You have been warned. :)

A quick edit of a shot from the NY trip, this building and the shots of the interior were begging for the sepia/B&W treatment.
