Damn I can't wait. I delayed my purchase of getting a 5D Mark II and got this instead.. might as well wait for the 3..

This will satisfy my need to go wide for now and it's renowned for it's sharpness!

Where'd you order from and for how much? I had my eye on that lens for along time but could never find one in stock for a reasonable price.

Yes it's definatly a sharp lens fast focus too, although I sold mine because I just didn't use it that much since I got a 17-55.You'll be happy with it.

Did you know this lens will work on larger sensors? Tried on on my 1d (1.3 crop) - vignetting at 11mm, better at 12mm (useable) fine at 13mm +. I have been told it's useable from 14mm up (with a bit of vignetting) on FF. May be handy when your 5d appears.

Such a fun lens. I rank mine with my L lenses in terms of the quality it produces as well.

Exactly the same thing I've found in looking for one..."out of stock"..."out of stock"...etc. Are they that popular? The cheapest I've found is in the $595 range.

Couldn't complain on this lens! I wish I used mine more before selling and buying 5DII.

Great sharp lens with excellent IQ!

Why is the Canon version of this lens a lot more expensive than the Nikon version?

I sincerely hope yours focus properly with your 7D. My originally one - which had performed perfectly with my 40D for over a year - didn't. And the replacement that Tokina sent me didn't either.

I gave up, sold it and got the Sigma 8-16 instead.

Usually on the website they all say 'out of stock.' But, when you go into the stores, they have them.
I searched a few shops near me and they were all out of stock. I went into the shop and ask if they ever get them and they had them.

I think its better if you go in person or call the place. I don't think they update their quantities right when it is in stock.

You will love it, look at this thread for samples: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=502308. I sold mine as I went to the FF side and got my self a 16-35L...

I agree with you, here in the UK the Canon fit is £100 more than Nikon!

I went to B&H site, and of course they were out of stock. I did select the "notify me" option, and the price shown was $599. Don't know what shipping was, though.
