Android App Inventor is fun :) Only basic stuff, but fun nonetheless.

Nice work Damo, good cause too.

Thanks everyone for the comments re: silhouette.

Michael, care to send me a well exposed raw at 3200 iso from the 1DIII ? I'd like to see what the noise levels are like.

Here's this weekend's tax. My little buddy, Murray, was attacked by a stray Akita and needed some work done. No new camera's until Christmas but Murray has a better chance of keeping his leg now and that means more. :)

What the hell is an Akita ?

Poor little bugger.

@Dave d, an Akita is a dog which can be very nasty when they want to.

Poor Murray, i wish a speedy recovery for him Al.

Damo your verticals are, not. I like the shot and the idea, i now want to try my crazy nd1000 for something other than moving water as well.

Awww, hope he mends fast Al, seeing pets in pain is always hard. I had to carry my last dog (my best mate for 13years) to the Vet to get him put down after he kept having these unexplainable fits.

Damo, I don't think I was around when you (assumingly) gave your opinions on the 7D. What are your thoughts on it? I love my 1d MKII but the LCD and slight lack of resolution has really been making me cry lately.

I got my 1D3 about 6 months ago for $2,150 - having said that, it had done 150,000 clicks and has a couple of marks on it, but works beautifully.

Most others at the time with <30,000 clicks were going for around $2,500 - $2,800.

Excellent, thanks for that information.

Mine is pretty much mint, except for a very light scuff on the mirror box and a scuff on the CF card door. It's done less than 20,000 exposures.

If anyone's after it, I'm looking for offers around $2700. :)

Taa DDG.

Justin, 10 mm on the crop will have distortions, but the image was straightened to the tall building just off the centre left.

Luke 2Shoes:
7D, great focus system, great frame rate for sports, impressive high ISO 6400, quality screen, viewfinder is about 100% so WYSIWYG, I don't really find it noisy as some claim as it crams in 18MP into a crop sensor, haven't really delved into video yet.. Its a different beast to the 550 that I held for a friend the other day! but doesn't have the shutter sound of the D series. So depending on your uses, sport and portraits, it should be great, just look at Rai's portrait work...!

@Damo, I noticed that when I looked at the picture icon on my desktop. Will look at cropping it out. And yes, those road daisies can take some punishment. Although being in pots, it's easy to kill them...And well, anything. lol
