Annnd you don't wanna know how much it costs...
.

Actually I kinda do! :)

Not that there is any chance I would be able to buy it.....

Kinda makes you wonder. I bet the original tiny sensors that are $3 in cell phone cameras were a pretty penny back in the early 80s. Maybe digital large format will be semi-affordable in 15-20 years and FF will be basically free.

At the risk of being accused of trolling, shouldn't it be 0.1732x in the title?

EF-Large

I thought it was a completely new mount - The engineers referred to it as the RFB mount, but marketing ended up calling it the 'DYWAEWT' Mount

Absolutely a large-format camera! And, of course, we want it priced like a Rebel!

I wonder how large a CF card we would need? LOL

It says the sensor is 40x the size of a FF CMOS, lets just say the 1DsMKIV will be 25mp, x40 is 1000mp, or almost a Gigapixel.

I hope Canon does release a large format digital camera, even if it costs as much as a house. That would be a bombshell on the digital market!
