Anyone going to the Pistahan Parade and Festival tomorrow in San Francisco? If you do, you'll probably notice a noob trying to take pictures for the parade with a 7D+24-105:cry: as I'm volunteering to shoot the parade not knowing what to do properly lol.

Still have to find out what my schedule is that day. If I'm free, I'll be out there :D

Fortunately, I'm told to be at the parade instead of the whole event. I felt disappointment for a good portion of my shots, but having the option to take some pictures at the festival itself is a relief. I saw Mr. Newsom (SF Mayor) there too.

I couldn't even run properly after the event (I was that tired). I had only 5 hours of sleep from the moment I first realized I needed to shoot (Friday 2 AM) to when I left for the event (Saturday 6AM).

Hopefully you got some of him at the event?

Ow! I know the feeling, not a great one

Hopefully you had a great time though. :D

I did. I even went to their appreciation dinner last week. Some of the people I recognize from the parade volunteer team and one of the photogs I talked to showed up. Nobody doesn't love raffle prizes, but the winners are quite concentrated (happens a lot). The coolest thing is I get to know people I never met and that's the best part.

Hey all, checking in again. It has been a while since I was last on POTN but I'm glad to be back and employed to support my photography habits, haha.

Hey Denzil. Long time no see.
Congrats on the new job. It took me about thirteen months after getting laid off by Intel, but I'm now working to support my habit too!

I just wish I could get it to pay for itself (like Dwight McCann) :p
