Hey guys! I'm new to this forum! registered just a few days ago :)

anyway, i just recently got a Canon EOS 1000D (which i might add is awesome) and i was looking at some stuff they have on amazon and found this:

http://www.amazon.com …ics&qid=1283310669&sr=8-1 (external link)

what do you guys think? First of all would it fit my 18-55mm lens?
and has anybody have had any experience with these things?

honestly the only reason im getting them is for the price and the knowledge that i might gain from it. if i like macro (after i supposedly use these), i will probably get better macro purpose lens later.

so what do you guys think?
oh, and if you have other macro filter sets that you could recommend, please do so :)
(although i am on a budget of about 10-30...so probably not but whatever :D)

i know it wont fit your 18-55, you need a 58mm set to do that.

15-55mm is the focal length. 58mm is the diameter of the lens.

Digital Concepts (aka BOWER) doesn't make anything of any quality... only when they license can they say they make something good (cuz in truth, they didn't make it). Its cheap tho, so go for em.

Macro close-up lenses are pretty weak optically tho, generally the distortion is off the charts.
