Nope. I have been shooting my wedding stuff with bare flash. Usually don't have time to take my softboxes out and set up. Just moving too fast....or trying to. :)

So are you doing from bride getting ready to the first dance or are you covering it throughout the night as well?

I am really starting to think about getting in to wedding photography after watching jasmine star on creative live talk about her career as a wedding photographer.

I do use a stand, because holding a flash is a PITA!

I am doing my first wedding shot next year in September with my 450d, unless I can convince the other half that I really really need a 5d mkII.

Hahahha don't we all....I wish. Maybe in the future then my XSI can become my backup.
Well your 1st wedding how exciting!! Do you plan to rent or purchase a lens for it. From your current line up I can see wanting a new one. I have used my 24-105 for weddings and it performed quite nicely! Get ready for it....everyone is going to chime in with get the 70-200 L or something to that effect. If I had the bucks for another L I would buy one. But I am on the fence as to what to get next in my line up...really want a new L telephoto for those landscapes tho...missed a real awesome eagle and her baby because they were just out of reach. Dam 55-250 sucks for that and it is my longest reach so to bad so sad!

There really isn't much difference between this camera, a 50D or a 5DMKII when it comes to every-day shooting. It really does come down to the lens (Well, even with lenses, you can get away on the cheap) on the front and the Photographer behind it.

Sure, the 50D / 5DMKII have better high ISO handling. And slightly better focus. But that is about it. You can still get some BANGIN' shots on the 450D. My favorite Wedding to date, still, was shot on my 450D;

450D + Sigma 10-20mm
