The manual seems to suggest that it's possible to have RAW+Jpeg going to CF with JPEG going to SD, but I can't get it to do it. Is it possible? 1DmkIV, 350D dual zoom kit, EF-S 60mm macro(sold), 50mm 1.8(sold), 100-400mmL IS, 70-200mm f2.8 IS L IS, 10-22mm(sold), 3x580EXII, 24-70mm f2.8L

You can have one (different if you wish) file type to each card, or the same one or two file types to both. Anders Östberg - Mostly Canon gear - My photos

I tend to find that I press the 1D4 AF-on button on the vertical grip a lot more in landscape orientation and fire up the autofocus by mistake than I remember doing on the 1D3. I sometimes have to turn off the vertical grip to stop it. One thing I wish they did, was redesign the body so you can use the back wheel as effectively in portrait mode as you can in landscape mode. In portrait, if you want to use the wheel, you have to move your whole hand (at least I do.. and my hands aren't small) to get to it, wheras in landscape, it's just a flick of the thumb.

Sep 02, 2010 23:29 | #5384 I discovered something that may not be obvious to anyone using spot metering linked to the active focus point.
