Hi guys,

just got back from a trip to Botswana. Here are a few shots, any C&C welcome. All taken with 70-200 and 1.4x, except the cheetah which is the bare lens.

1. Cheetah - I know it is a little low in the frame, don't know how to crop it to make it look better.

2. Kori Bustard.

3. female kudu - just noticed the twigs on the top right hand corner, so will clone those.

Thanks for looking.

Great shots! I just returned from Botswana yesterday - we were hot on the heels of 3 cheetah but we never found them :( Glad to see that you were lucky enough to, though! Great job getting so close to the kudu as well. Every time we got within 200ft they would dash off.

thanks, strange to hear about the skitish kudu though - I have never found them to be that wary of trucks before (7 different safari trips in Botswana).

As for the cheetahs, at least you have something to hope to see next time!!

yeah - went to 3 different areas in Bots and all of them were skiddish. We did see a leopard up close, though, so that will hold me down until next time :) I'm going to Hluhluwe in SA in 3 days time - not sure if they have cheetah there, though.
