How important is multi-coated vs regular for CPL? Also do I need the slim mount?
Vignetting will depend on the filter brand. I can say for sure that the B+W F-Pro CPL (non-slim) does not vignette on the 10-22 at 10mm (there are also various threads on this if you were to search the forum). Will another brand vignette? Can't say for sure as I only use B+W and Singh-Ray polarizers. But the B+W will not cause vignetting.
Multicoating is a mixed bag. TBH, I think too much emphasis is placed on it. For example, Singh-Ray does not use multicoating on the their polarizers, and they're regarded as some of the best filters available. Not to mention B+W (ND filters), Lee (circular polarizer) and others also do not use multicoating on their filters. IMO, unless you're shooting directly into the sun with your polarizer, the lack of multicoating is not a big deal (your lens is coated anyway).
