Does Sigma still produce lemon copy of 50mm 1.4 these days?

I bought one a few months back and and I have sent it in for focus issues. Mine will not hold focus on Manual Focus. Sigma has it now. The sample images on POTN made me get this lens even though I new it might have issue.

Bought one yesterday. No focus shift issues and bitingly sharp by f2.5. Sure it's a bit soft wide open but I knew that already.

There are no perfect 50mm out there. Just have to pick one with the distance you'll be shooting your subject most. As a generalisation, the 50/1.4 ZE is optimised for infinity and the 50MP ZE is optimised for macro stuff. I'd love to own the 50L but it has scary issues with regard to focus shifts. I know some Sigma do have them which is why you need to test it out before buying.

I don't mind paying 100-200 euros more as opposed to buying online as long as I know what I'm buying. I have been burnt many times in the past and it's a pain in the buttock :(.
