Evening all,
Not posted pics on here for a while as had sold my Canon gear due to a malfunctioning IDMK3,however loved the camera when it worked ,so bought a late model, low clicks version and a 70-200 2.8 IS .

Went to Epynt Ranges for the Mewla and in a mixture of heavy rain in the morning and glorious weather in the afternoon took some shots to try out the new tack.

Was pleased with colours, sharpness and overall performance, and loved the handling and ergonomics ,which is why I bought it.

Here are few wet ones from morning ,and dry from afternoon.

I can see why you like the gear some cracking shots there. I particularly like number 1. Lovely colours.

Cheers Elvis,
Proper Canon colours was my main reason for buying it and tank like build and speed.
Srangely my older Nikon bodies, which I still have and use,D2H series are great on colours but I was never happy with my D700 for accurate colours and handling.

Good to see some rally action being posted again - all very quiet recently. Great collection of shots, weather looks like a real dog in the first two, all good there but really like nr.2 for the low angle capture and nr.3 for sheer action panning in dodgy looking lighting.

Hi Mikey,
Your right re Rally action, been like the Marie Celeste !

I couldn't post my Nikon shots ,so I bought another Canon:)

Weather was proper wet in the morning but gear performed very well indeed, which of course it is built for,and made a few unique shots ,the afternoon it cleared and was wonderful light when we left after the rally .

2 was at really wet time ,and the car, crew are real favourites of mine,co driver Steve Pugh is a rally fanatic, always on British Rally Forum.

The Mitsi Pan was real tricky lighting ,shade and sunlight ,and 100mph and a real challenge ,so very pleased with that one.
Thanks for taking the time to comment,
Pons

Cheers Tom,
It's early days for it and me,but certainly love it's rugged nature and speed and accurate out of camera colours.
That panned Mitsi was a shot I really was pleased with, interesting you liked the tree in it.

Regards,
Pons
ps ,This a cracking forum that allows you to post decent size pics ,another reason for using Canon gear.

Great shots, I like the No 2 Chevette shot, the spectators in the rain give it atmosphere, dull, damp etc, but they are there for the love of the sport.
