The Del Mem Bridge is the world's longest Twin-Span suspension bridge. First span opened 1951, second span 1968. Somewhere around 90,000 vehicles a day use the bridge, which connects I-95 and US Route 40 from Delaware, to the NJ Turnpike and I-295 in Jersey. The NJTP carries the I-95 name when I-76 from PA merges with it just north of Philly. I-295 and the Turnpike parallel north to Philly, where 295 heads towards Trenton and the NJTP runs up the center of the state.

Total length of the bridge is about 2 miles - center span is 2,150 feet, at high point about 175 feet above the river.

The river was a bit choppy yesterday, so please forgive the not-quite-sharpness. Taken with my $60 Canon 35-135 f/4-5.6 eBay find.

Ah. Home.

You live on the bridge?

If you can be a bit more specific, I might have, or be able to supply, additional photos. Are we talking Carney's Point, Pennsville, Deepwater area, or Wilmington/New Castle?

Haha, well played. In Mt. Laurel. No worries, I'm coming home shortly on leave.
