One of my other hobbies is gunsmithing. Merging the two, photography and gunsmithing, here is a before and after shot of a Yugoslavian M24/47 Mauser in full dress military (as I got it) and how I finished with it.
I added a buffalo horn end cap and spacer for the pistol grip (I had to make the end cap) I also added the ebony tip for the forearm (I had to make that as well) and added the recoil pad which had to be trimmed. I also inletted and glass bedded the stock. I then fullly finished it. I replaced the military trigger with a 3 pound Timney, had the military sights removed and the barrel recrowned. Finally I added the scope using a drill-less scope mount.
