Hi all, would love feedback for best snug fit for Canon 40d + canon 24-105mm lens attached. Will be using it for day trips etc. Needs to be easy access to camera. Possibly Holster type bag but nothing to bulky. Thanks in advance. Bill NZ

Second the Think Tank Digital Holster 20. I really like mine for a one body/one lens setup. The extendable lens compartment makes it really flexible too.

Best thing you can do is to get familiar with the different carrying solutions, and then find out which one(s) fit(s) your needs the best. I for instance, am going to purchase CC for hiking, climbing and similar, but BlackRapid for streetshooting and similar. (CC = Rough, BR = Subtle).

Yes, this will take a bit longer than just buying the first and best you can find, but you'll be happier with your purchase.

Ones to consider (Non-exhaustive list. The ones I could think of ATM)
- K-Gear Bottomless Holster (external link)
- Cotton Carrier (external link)
- Spider Holster (external link)
- Blackrapid R-strap (external link)
- HoldSLR (external link)
- Lumaloop (external link)
- UP-Strap (external link)

Hm, there are more, I just can't think of them right now. Some are variations of the same system. You can also do a Google-related search on the webpages of products you like. (for example: related:blackrapid.com)

FYI
I bought a bag for my camera set up. it's a Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50 AW. Fits my Canon 40D with 24-105 lens perfectley. Even has room in bag for my Op/Tech Pro Loop neck strap. Front pocket has room for memory cards, battery, cloth etc. Great construction, zip opening next to body for security. Have attached my Op/Tech S.O.S strap to carry around, this will be my walk-about set up. Bill.
