I've actually never bought a new lens, only used from the good people of the forums here

With that in mind, where do you go to buy lenses new? I plan to get the 70-200m, but since it's expensive I want to drop my cash in the right place recommended.

I'd think to just order from Amazon, but, I'd like to hear everyone's opinion since I am still new.

Stuff: 40D+BG-E2N, 430EX, 85mm f/1.8, EF-S 17-55 f/2.8, 70-200 F4L IS
I'm always looking for advice, please check out my Flickr. (external link)

I always buy my gear from a reputable Canon dealer, and bargain down with price matches.

Three reasons.

1. Canon Warranty
2. Canon Warranty
3. Canon Warranty

Good luck....you're going to get one hell of a good lens.....

Huh...are you sure?

I was always told if you buy from the grey market you're on you're own.

Yeah you get a worldwide warranty card, which is honored by canon internationally.

Bodies aren't, which is why you probably figured lenses would be the same.

How about for Canada? Other than local dealers of course, but any suggestions for good online retailers up here? Or retailers that will ship into Canada without ridiculous shipping fees? (not the retailers fault neccesarily, just what I've experienced)
