Thanks again for the comments. I'm now using the color version as my desktop wallpaper. I also found a cool little program that lets me hide all my desktop icons in preset groups unless I do a mouse roll over. :D You wouldn't believe just how many icons I have on my desktop.

My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 and reduced here.

Love em both but the B&W is way more gripping, IMO. :)

I too like the B&W better. The color version is very nice, but it doesn't stand out from other good sunset pics.

I like the contrast in the B&W, I was really feeling the B&W shot until I saw the color, the color blows it away for me

What appears to be a road is a flood control channel. The flood control channel is a project I'm doing the inspection on. Part of the project is to excavate sediment that has built up in this channel over the past few years. Here's a quick pic of some of that work when it was going on. I was facing just about due north when I took this shot so you can orient yourself to the sunrise photo to this one. These photos were taken on different dates. Mt. San Jacinto is to the left and out of frame.

Color one rocks. I'm using it as my desktop too. Trying to figure out how to get my watermark on it and come up with a "where I took this shot" story. Oops! Was I typing out loud just then?
