going for $899 @ BH

I have the Sigma 24-70 HSM, Sigmalux and the 135L....not sure whether to go 24L/35L or this lens..

edit - I'm leaning towards this lens. Does anyone know how fast Adorama gets a rental version of a newly released lens? (I just sent them an email and will post here if no one replies)

I think I'm going to pick this up in December and if I don't like it then I'll upgrade to the 85L ii.

On the contrary, 77mm filter is a big plus for me since most of my lenses have share the same filter size :)

Same here, I wish my 85L has 77mm filter, all my other lens are 77mm...

I wouldn't bank on it, I'm pretty sure Sigma engineer have done extensive test of this lens in the lab to compare to Canon and Nikon equivalent, if the optical performance is anywhere close to the 85L II they would have charge atleast $1200 for it, who wouldn't want to save $800 if it has close to 85L IQ with faster AF?? For $900 this lens better have better CA control than 85 1.8 and just as sharp stopping down to f/1.8 :D

This thread should be zeroed once actual samples come out.
