Really helpful thread. Nice to get ideas before I buy any more gear. I have a friend that wants to lend me some strobes just to try it out before buying. Great to have friends like that :)

I actually ended up getting this after you posted the link. Heres a few shots. This is the first time Ived used a gridded beauty dish and I definitely like the look so far.

i'm getting ready to purchase a roll of seamless and have been going back and forth between making my own stands or ordering a kit. has anyone done a DIY paper stand (if that makes sense) or should i just buy some?

Didn't cost me a penny and works very well :)

Sure it's no fancy setup but does the job right.
