Yes, they have the most irritating website design on planet earth. They do that intentionally so that Ken Rockwell's site will actually look better.

Seriously though, I have been in the process of selling my gear to go either 7D or 5D mark 2. Seeing the D7000 has me rethinking my route.

I don't see how the D7K is better than the 7D.

I'll stick with my 7D.

I don't think it's better but it certainly isn't worse (maybe only a bit on the video side). And it's $400 cheaper.

video is better for me with the 7D... D7k can't do 60p. i can live without a articulating lcd not so much without the higher frame-rate.

The D300s is Nikon's prank on its users, if you ask me!

Ha Ha.
Im going to use that joke on my friend who just got a D300s a week ago, who will most likely be crying now.

All jokes aside I suppose Nikon feel they can sell the D300s for more than the 7D and not upgrade because the 7D caught up on the most part but it did not exceed the D300s by any stretch. So Nikon are the ones who are laughing I feel.

I do wonder though who would buy a D300s with the D7000 out. I guess if you need the extra FPS, the Pro Inputs/iTTL and the 51 point auto focus you will still get the D300s.

I know a lot of people with some real nice video cameras dedicated to video but few that actually use them. I don't see that as a feature I would need or use on a DSLR. So when considering a purchase its not a factor for me.

Oh my. I needed a laugh! Thanks!

ps Bought my 300s about 3 months ago. Still glad I did, and believe I'll be happy for some time. My computers are obsolete as I leave the store. Such is progress. Just my 2 cents worth.

xs=D3000/D5000, T2i=D3100, 60D=D90/D7000...

I agree that the D90 seems less competitive with the D60 than the D7000 does, but I just can't see comparing a prism-equipped camera with a mirror-equipped camera.

Thanks for claifiying that. I used to once know nikons lower end models but now I dont.
