I need some replacement NP-E3 batteries for my 1DsII. I was about to settle on Lenmar DMCE3, but I checked keh and noticed they sell twin packs of "ex" original canon batteries for about the same price.

Is the collective wisdom to go OEM new or original used? Shipping is $50+ either way :(

They're expensive as crap, but it's worth it to get the Canon branded, new. I've been through a lot of generics and a supposedly newish original and none of them held up very long. Finally sucked it up and bought two new Canon branded from BEH a few months ago and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Yeah, reading what a lot of people have said it's worth just biting the bullet and buying an official brand new one.

I know, but it's so much money for some very average chemistry. I'm also thinking about getting some oem batteries and just swapping the canon end cap. $250 something to get a pair shipped from b&h, $360 each here in Aus!
