Assuming they are both in great condition are there any manufacturing differences between a Canon 135L made in 2002, UQ, and one made in 2009, UX?

I've come across lenses that were hardly used in years, while others are almost new and are damaged already. 5D II + ZE 50 MP

Therefore, it seems its the visual condition of the lens that drives the sale price (as well as other generic factors). _______________

This is common to most of the later Canon lenses. It makes no practical difference, but less likely to get switched accidentally. But I have had older ones and newer ones and there was really nothing optically between them. .

Sep 21, 2010 17:57 | #9 If the newer ones go for about $850 would $700 be a good price to pay or even $750 or $800, or would that be too much for a good condition UQ 135L. 5D IV, Rokinon 14mm, Zeiss 21mm, Rokinon 24mm 1.4, Canon 24-105L, Speedlight 430EX II

If you can find one for $700 and there's nothing wrong with it, grab it fast. No matter what the year of manufacture. Alan Myers
