I just want a new lens, for what I shoot, the bells and whistles not needed...but Victor, thats great news! Your photos are stunning, and having the gear to make it more manageable is a perfect fit.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

I was head over heels in love with the 14-24 too.....but then read about some Canon guys who used it and it was a big disappointment.....so who knows. Looks like Nikon if finally making some good primes. I think if I did switch I would sell the MKIII and keep my 5D, 85 L and 35L....;)

And were the guys using it on a Canon or Nikon.............I heard it depends on what adaptor your using if on a Canon

You know..... I played with the 85L once... it's impressive to look through.. all that heavy glass makes a person drool...

But honestly, I didn't see enough WOW factor to rationalize the price over the 85 f/1.8 Maybe I'm just too practical... lol.. The 135, however... now THAT'S an amazing lens, as is the 35L... Both on my wish list *someday* (which really means 10-years from now.. :( )

Did you find the judging criteria you were asking about, Kristy?

Oh wait... I just remembered... I'm not Victor... darn....

BUt.... I had a chance to play with this lens and LOVED it!! Totally.. The bokeh made me smile, it was quick to focus, and much lighter than the f/ 2.8 version, which is good for us girlies.... ;)

Small gallery of test shots playing with it....http://ksnyderphoto.smugmug.com …164_hFJqL#601051418_2Nmd3 (external link)

Versatility on the 70-200 makes it pretty appealing IMO... that will probably be my next purchase.. :)

Here you go - scoring is...different since it is backwards and the best score is the lowest but you'll figure it out. I hope. :)
