My daughter's eyes

My daughter has some of the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. (Yes, I'm biased)

Neat shot but I feel the reflection in her eyes (the yellow/green + black object) really kills it. You need to shoot in a cleaner environment, in terms of reflections.

Her eyes are beautiful. I agree that the catchlight is distracting, but only photographers will notice that. What's problematic for me is the yellow/orange tone of the white balance.

Try a black and white conversion maybe? Or repeat the shot, with outdoor lighting (window light, or shade outside)?

The room itself is yellow and I'm bouncing the flash off of the ceiling, but of course some hits the walls and reflects back as well.

Is there a way to get better catch lights when bouncing the flash?

The white balance should be possible to change on the picture. If you have shot it in RAW do a adjustment of the white balance by taking the eyedrop on the white in her eyes.... I would also adjust the contrast a bit to get more structure in the eye. The reflection is in the black part of they eye, and shouldn*t be that difficult to clone away.

If you use a polariser filter on the lens, you can take away almost all of the reflection.
