In either image, the focus isn't fantastic which ruins them a little, and the colour cast in the second shot is really off-putting for me. Sorry, but it's a fail from me!

I agree. Needs to be a little sharper, and yes the flash freezes the wheels and kills the "motion" of the shot.

Then open the shutter for longer. The flash KILLS any sense of motion.

Flash + Rigs = waste of time.
