What to buy next, 5D II or 24L II

I am looking at either the 24L II or 5D II and in a real bind and not sure which to get next. I can get the 5D II through the Canon loyalty program for $1690 or buy the 24L for about $1500. I like shooting landscapes, mostly on a tripod, and my kids and their sports. My current gear is listed below. I do not find my 40D lacking but would like to upgrade to FF sometime, just not sure if that should be now.

You could get the 5dII and 24-70 with a little gear shuffle. I recommend this set-up.

5DII then later a Zeiss 21 for landscapes

yeah, i would sell the first 5 items in your sig, then buy 5d2, then add some money for a 24Lii or 35L. FF is the way to go, you get what you get.

So, I should sell my EFS lens and 40D and buy the 5D II, then buy a wide angle lens to go with it, sound about right.

Some of your lenses will not work full frame so adios amigos, and on to the beauty and the expense of ff.

agree with everyone else here. sell soe of your stuff you have now and get the 5d2 and the 24L II or 35L.

Of your stuff you have now I would keep the 135L, 70-200 zoom, 28-70 tamron zoom and buy a 5D2 + 24L II if you prefer wide angle more or 35L.

Hmm keep the 70-200 and 135, sell everything else. (not sure about the tamron zoom, depends on the price i guess)
Check how much money that would free up and what you could get instead

sell the 10-22 and 30mm 1.4 and then think about what other lenses you dont use.

Trade you 40D for the 5Dmk2

with the 900 you just made from sells the ef-s lenses. You could get a 17-40 and have you wide angle back, with 300-350 to spare.

THEN buy the Canon 50mm 1.4 to replace you 30mm 1.4 that you sold. it will give you the same FOV vs the 30mm on 40d.

Sell the tamron and sigma, and trade in the 40D for the 5DM2.

I have some old film camera to use for the trade in for the Canon Loyalty to get the 5dII.
