The USM terms are different and the slider set up seems different from PS v.6....

Strength seems more like Radius in that it has greater/coarser effect than
Fineness that acts more like Amount in PS v.6 (nuanced/refined sharpening)

...amd Amount is the top slider in PS v.6 and Radius the middle slider....opposite that of DPP....

Any comments on this?

Thanks for the heads-up! I've been using 3.9.0 for a bit and really like the new features. Especially the "Reject" classification (and ratings) as well as the unsharpen feature. Looking forward to installing 3.9.2 later at home!

Not at this time -- I'm not at my editing workstation, and the quick shot I grabbed earlier was of a black crow that was 90% backlit, so even at a 100% enlargment it was just enough for me to note but not so good to post -- at some point I'll be able to get off this little laptop and up to my photo library and pick a shot that is fit for public consumption!

Yeah, it would be worth it if you just have an image to play with -- try the settings I mentioned in that post to experiment with, and play with the ability to switch back and forth to compare. Hopefully the new stuff will be good and useful to DPP users!

Haha, I just checked and I'm still on DPP 3.2.0 and EOS Utility 1.1.1, LOL. Thanks for helping me get up to date.

Thanks for this. Now I can use DPP for my G9 raw files. It is one of those models now supported.
